The Galaxy have always had an eye for legendary strikers of the ball. The Galaxy’s signing of David Beckham in 2007 changed American soccer forever. After 12 years at Borussia Dortmund, Marco Reus has now officially joined the LA Galaxy.
After 12 years at the Signal Iduna Park, the German midfield maestro has signed a 2 and a half year long deal with LA Galaxy, as announced by the club. The contract will see Reus feature for the Galaxy till 2026. The club also announced that they had obtained the Discovery Priority to Reus from Charlotte FC in exchange for $400,000 in General Allocation Money ($100,000 in 2024 GAM; $300,000 in 2025 GAM). Reus is set to join the LA Galaxy roster, and will occupy one of 8 International Roster Slots.

Marco Reus arrives in Los Angeles following a tearful farewell to the Borussia Dortmund faithful, after he called time on his 12-year long career with the German side ahead of the Champions League Final 2024. In his 12 years at Dortmund, he was voted Player of the Year 3 times, scoring 170 goals in 294 appearances for the club. He was appointed club captain in 2018, and won 2 German DFB-Pokal Cups. Reus was also an integral part of Joachim Loew’s German side leading up to the 2014 World Cup, scoring 5 goals. The German maestro brings his impeccable vision and versatility to this strong LA Galaxy side, as they look to conclude the season in style.
